"Age is but a number; it's what's in your heart that truly matters"
The lights of a carnival aren't too luminous or eye catching during the day, since they aren't even considered competition against the well-lit sun. Traditional carousel music trickles from sources unknown throughout the docks of the beach and a few yards beyond the crowded parking lot. The scent of the salty sea breeze brings nostalgia to my senses. People on bicycles pass by, leaving the faint noises of clicking sounds, only to have our eyes mentally trace the path of the rider. A nearby boat tied to a mooring bollard gently rocks leftward to the repetitive and rhythmic waves. The tolling metal windchimes of a classic ice cream parlor synchronize naturally with the laughter of children.
It's summer
finally.
I stroll around aimlessly with both hands in my pockets, and smile genuinely at a passerby behind my vintage-brown aviator sunglasses, giving him a slight nod. The stranger looks into my eyes and smiles back, only to see his own reflection from my mirrored lens.
Striding by a few young ladies with very little interest, I begin to wonder what the atmosphere would look like if the sky was white and the clouds were blue.
It would look the same, perhaps, or maybe like a blank canvas with blotches of cerulean splattered here and there some under there.
'Under where?' you question.
'Underwear!'
Laughing to myself at the comical joke my friend introduced me to, a shade of white catches my eye. Curious of the brightly colored blur I've seen from my peripheral vision, I turned my head only to witness... an alluring noona.
She was heaven-sent. No doubt about it. I have no second thoughts about it.
I was absolutely mesmerized by her splendor. They say no human is perfect, but she was flawlessly b e a u t i f u l
Every blemish of this worldher beauty makes up for.
Noona, you're so sweet.
Her cheeks were tinted with pink and were lighter than the color of cream. Her timid lips were a shade of peach. Her soft curly brown hair cushioned her smooth jaw line; her sunhat flopping cutely with the current of air. She wore a white sundress, laced with a light shade of coffee.
Noona, you're an angel.
Her eyes wandered up and like any other person that day, she only saw her reflection in my eyes. The engaging honey colored orbs blinked with curiosity of my appearance.
Noona, you've left me awestruck.
Still deeply captivated by her loveliness, my hands slowly approached the frames of my sunglasses. I calmly tugged the sunglasses off, and then folded them without averting my eyes from her, tucking them into my pocket inside of my jacket afterwards.
Only one thought came across my mind in the duration of those eight awkward minutes for her
Noona, you're so pretty.
