Clinging to the walls of my bedroom was an empty picture frame-- the edges smooth and spotlessly shiny. The photograph that used to reside between the black background and the glass covering no longer existed. I stared at the dark velvet through the clear matting and sighed. My fingers etched the Victorian styled designs, recalling the memories. After taking in everything, I gripped onto the old borders and unhooked it from its place on my wall. Underneath it was an imprint that didn't happen to match the wallpaper. From the moment it was hanging there, the colors stayed the same. It was going to take a while to erase the mark it left behind
